Theย Woodlamp by Andy Martin
Andy Martin has exhibited for the first time Woodlamp and Wastelamp at The Hidden Heroes 2010 during the Milan Design Week.ย 
The Woodlamp derives its origin from Andyโs fascination with the production of moulds and mandrels and their use of โno techโ methods to produce forms in simple woods. The Woodlamp form is turned from laminated solid tulipwood whereas the Wastelamp is turned from tulipwood shavings and resin.ย
Andy has had a fascination with building materials such as bricks, fast grown timbers, insulation products and ceramics. Reinventing uses and enhancing their aesthetic through design. He has worked with some of the largest industry brands such as Weinerberger, Knauf and Finnforest.ย
