Description:
“This renovation completely transformed what’s iconic and expected in a ‘Vancouver Special’ home. The signature curved stairway of almost every Vancouver Special didn’t match the homeowner’s modern taste. Away from the ordinary, we embraced the curve, quieted down the railing, and instead bring your eye to an exquisitely crafted recessed handrail, which makes no mistake about it’s shape.
The curve is further punctuated with a custom built scoop in the wall which picks up and bounces the light from the skylight directly above – helping to brighten and welcome you into the home. Upstairs the floor plan was opened up, and the entire home was refurbished with new hardwood floors, new kitchen layouts, a newly expanded master bathroom, and new lighting throughout. A multi-generational home with a common front entrance, each family member has their own place to call home, with customizations to suit.”
