Description:

“This award winning home in Highett began with the brief to create a family home in Highett with the capacity to stretch to fit changing circumstances. With two small children at the moment, the brief was to include four bedrooms, home office and large garage, as well as flexible living spaces that could withstand the rough and tumble of small children while being stylish and contemporary.

The result is a twin gabled, weatherboard facade – an unprepossessing reinterpretation of the predominant style of housing in the area. The vibrant orange front door leads into the house and creates a sense of fun on arrival.

Once you enter the home there is a sense of space, with high ceilings, generously proportioned rooms and a simple but extremely stylish interior.

The success of the home is measured by the clients happiness with their family home, but in addition the BDAV New Home of the Year 2014 and the Bayside Built Environment Awards Best New Building 2014.”
