This venture, a broad redesign and expansion to a current present day home high above Silicon Valley, was motivated by overwhelming pictures and compositions from the site: rocks, bark, and takes off.

We made a two-story expansion clad in customary Japanese Shou Sugi Ban smoldered wood siding that grapples home and site. Regular compositions additionally win in the corrective renovating of all the living spaces.

The first home was a joint endeavor between Min | Day as Design Architect and Burks Toma Architects as Architect of Record and was considerably finished in 1999.

In 2005, Min | Day included the swimming pool and related open air spaces. Schwartz and Architecture (SaA) started chip away at the expansion and considerable redesign of the inside in 2009, finished in 2015.
