“You wouldn’t guess it now, but this home started as a very traditional luxury new construction home. The location was perfect – just off Armitage in the heart of Lincoln Park – but the homeowners really wanted something more modern, so they enlisted us to transform it to fit their tastes. We bleached the oak floors and implemented a light, bright and modern palette.

Hailing from the west coast – her from California and him from Alaska – they wanted nods to that clean california cool vibe they were used to with natural fibers and organic textures…but just a few pops of color to give it a youthful energy.

Both in their 30’s, this couple splits time between California, Hawaii, Alaska, and Chicago. Now they’ve got their modern home that still feels like they’re at ‘home’ in California right in the heart of Lincoln Park.”
